Match Kick Off Times0 replies

All,

There has been some confusion over match KO times. As of 1st March and the afternoons getting lighter, all matches will now kick off at 3pm. On that basis, this week if you are playing just add on 45 mins to the meet time stated on the Team Selection page.

Good luck on Saturday!

Form guide!0 replies

Well done to all that have recently ben involved in first team league games. Since Xmas there has been a big turn around in form mainly down to confidence and belief and the form guide looks like so:

1. Spalding - 12 points (from 12)
2. Colaville - 10 points
3. Mkt Rasen - 8 points
4. Belgrave - 8 points
5. Moderns P6 W3 D1 L2 F166 A154 Diff12 - 7 points
6. Bakewell - 4 points
7. Lincoln - 4 points
8. W Bridgford - 4 points
9. Melton - 3 points
10. L'boro - 2 points
11. Sleaford - 0 points
12. Grimsby - 0 points

Not every team has played as many games as us but I've said all season that we should be a top half of the league club! With the Second XV still in contention we could have a good end to the season.

Keep up the good work!

Having just discovered Moderns' web site, I was absolutely amazed to read messages off ex, Sgt. Major Royal Military Police, a.k.a. the Redcaps, Straughan. I thought he had finally entered the 21st century and bought a computor. Even more amazing when you know that he has problems using a pop-up toaster. He was even officially classified when in the army as MM which everyone knows means Menace to Machinery.
You should see him trying to open a bottle of Grolsch! However, having read all the other entries on the message board, it appears that Straughny uses a ghost writer just like he does when he fills in the Sun crossword.
Congratulations to whoever is the author of Moderns web site. It is a well constructed and very informative site and I look forward to accessing it again in the future.
One request- could the web site please show the respective league positions without having to trawl through various links?
Regards,
Jimmy Hatton

When nothing seems to help
I go and look at a stone cutter
hammering away at his rock
perhaps a hundred times without
as much as a crack showing in it

Yet at the hundred and first blow
it will split in two, andI know it
was not that blow that did it but
all that had gone before.

I have just spent an entertaining five minutes
watching the Vets tour match at Bridgnorth
on You Tube. one thing that intruiges me is
why STARSKY on the touch line is moving faster
than most of the players on the field ????.
